Olive Leaf Extract 20% -25% Oleuropein

Pharmaceutical company confirms…

“Olive Leaf Extract Killed Every Virus, Bacteria and Protozoa They Tested it Against!”

Back in 1969, Dr Harold Renis was working for the Upjohn Company and doing a lot of research into the therapeutic benefits of olive leaf extract (OLE). Once this pharmaceutical company realized the astonishing health benefits of olive leaf extract, they tried to obtain a patent on it and claim it as a drug. Of course they were unsuccessful (how can you get a patent on a natural substance). So once this happened they stopped all research into OLE and quickly poo-pooed it. Unfortunately for them, they’d already let the cat out of the bag and supplement companies began to jump on the olive leaf extract band wagon and started producing it in supplemental form.

The main substance in OLE is Oleuropein and this is what kills the virus. It basically puts a force field around the virus and infected cells so they can’t continue to grow and replicate.

Here’s the 3 main benefits of using olive leaf extract as a home remedy for herpes as quoted by the Olivus website…

  • Has the ability to interfere with critical amino acid production essential for viruses. Shown to kill oral and genital herpes virus and herpes zoster virus (shingles/chicken pox).
  • Has the ability to contain viral infection and/or spread by inactivating viruses or by preventing virus shedding, budding, or assembly at the cell membrane.
  • Ability to directly penetrate infected cells and stop the symptoms of herpes by shutting down viral replication in male & female herpes and mild herpes simplex, zoster, type 1 and type 2.- See more at:

A “natural antibiotic” made from olive leaf extract. It has been tested in clinical trials and is effective in treating a wide range of viral and bacterial diseases. For dogs and cats. A nutritional supplement for dogs and cats to support immune system functions. Oleuropein, the key active ingredient is highly effective in eliminating microorganisms which support its use in almost any type of microbial invasion. Olive Leaf Extract also contains a natural complement of bioflavonoids like Quercetin and Rutin, which are antioxidants. Olive Leaf Extract blocks microorganisms by interfering with certain amino acid production processes necessary for their virulence. In addition, Olive Leaf Extract directly stimulates phagocytosis, an immune system response in which phagocytes ingest microorganisms and foreign matter without disturbing the beneficial intestinal microorganisms.

Jarisch-Herxheimer or Herxheimers reaction

This reaction, not exclusive to olive leaf extract, is named after the men who first described it, Adolf Jarisch and Karl Herxheimer, dermatologists working on the treatment of Syphilis in 1895.

It is an immune response to the release of toxins from pathogens which have been destroyed, in this case by the olive leaf extract.

Simply put, the reaction proceeds as follows:

Olive leaf compounds attack and damage the cells of a large number of pathogens. (disease-causing microbes)

The dead pathogens leak toxins, break down and are absorbed by surrounding tissues, which were already displaying symptoms caused by the infection of the pathogens in the first place.

This increase in the concentration of toxins worsens the original symptoms and elicits a further immune response from the body causing histamine release, swelling and pain.

The body ramps up its detoxification and cleansing processes which may result in other uncomfortable symptoms.

As the overload of dead organisms is reduced and removed from the body, healing and a surge of energy and feeling of good health follows.

Drinking 4-6 glasses of purified water daily helps the body eliminate these toxins more quickly. The tissue surfaces where most discomfort may be felt are the mucous membranes of the mouth, oesophagus, stomach, intestines, sexual and urinary organs, ears, lungs and membranes surrounding the brain and synovial linings of the joints. These can give rise to the following olive leaf side effects

  • Dull headaches
  • Muscle and joint pain
  • Feverishness and sweating
  • Nausea
  • Sore throat and nasal passages
  • Vaginal irritation especially in the case of yeast/fungal infections

These olive leaf side effects, when they do occur, normally last only for a few days and are generally mild.

If infections being treated are more severe, the side-effects may be worse and last longer and a reduction in dosage may be necessary to reduce discomfort.
Treatment can also be temporarily suspended to allow the body to deal with the overload more easily, and then resumed at a lower dosage to keep the die-off effect at a manageable level.

Herxheimers reaction is regarded as a positive sign, meaning that the treatment is working and is killing off the offending pathogens. *
