Some Dogs Have Special Retinas. Does Yours?

Dogs that don’t have this bundle of cells see pretty well at night, anyway. The problem is that often atapetal dogs can be diagnosed by incautious vets as having cataracts since the retinas look clouded through the ophthalmoscope. No need for cataract meds for normal atapetal eyes! In case of a diagnosis of early cataracts, always seek a canine eye specialist’s opinion.
