TLGDA Finally Joins Us In Asking For Health Testing!!

We have always known here at the ABLA that all dogs are prone to hip dysplasia, but even more so herding breeds and working dogs. We have been doing health testing on our dogs for years and also asking our members to do it on theirs. It is wonderful one of the other associations has finally come to understand the benefits of doing health testing to prevent this from happening to people who get their pups.

OFA Hip Results ~

Even though hip dysplasia is common in all dog breeds it is most common in working and herding breeds. This is why it is so important we test for it so as not to continue breeding it into our lines. When deciding on whether to keep a pup you can even get a prelim done as early as 4 months. So here is what that rating you get back means for you and your dog.
